[Health and Wellness] Giving ACV A Go


I’ve resisted the Apple Cider Vinegar (AVC) hype for about a year now, but after seeing the umpteenth ‘Dr. Oz’s Swimsuit Slimdown Plan/ACV Cocktail’ pin (and my last ditch effort to keep off holiday weight as our redeployment quickly approaches), I figured I’d give in and see what all the fuss is about.  According to several of the sources I researched, preliminary studies have shown a wide variety of benefits from incorporating ACV into your diet.  In addition to it’s potential for aid in weight loss (2 tsp. to 16oz. of water -or- 1 C. Grapefruit juice, before meals), research has also shown it’s ability to stimulate cardiovascular circulation and help detoxify the liver (something to remember come January 2nd…).  Other noted health benefits include indigestion prevention and swelling reduction (which they say is fabulous for tired runners feet and pregnant mommies!).  

A simple Google search will bring up a laundry list of the benefits associated with Apple Cider Vinegar, health related and otherwise, but I’d love to hear about your experiences.  Have you tried incorporating ACV into your diet and seen results?  Do you swear by an ACV hair rinse or toner?  I’d love to hear from you!
